Don't Ever Say The Word 'Never'

I never thought I'd need a break from blogging/sharing/writing about my adventures in Triathlon and Running; but I know I need it and I know I also want it. Monty; the retired after one summer season Lifeguard Bear demonstrates the concept very well in the picture above. The picture was taken towards the end of the last summer (2024) as the outdoor pools were going to close and Monty was overworked (well over-volunteered as he didn't get a paycheck), treated poorly by other pool staff members (I was not one of them), and just knew it was time to do what was best for him (express himself in the best way for him).

With that; going into Season 21 of Triathlon (that's an insanely long time) and Season 18 of Blogging/Sharing/Writing about my adventures in Triathlon and Running here (and everywhere else) I might just keep quiet and on the down low. I haven't quite figured out what I'd do here but that's for me to decide at some other time. The smile on my face and Monty's face pictured above (when I needed to let people know Monty wasn't a small teddy bear) is how I want to feel about this hobby of mine again. Not so much the training aspect as I have a cool setup and routine but when I start racing. Because racing is where I thrive but also where I've lost the most love for the journey. Until next time as Monty is sitting on my bed with me, looking over my shoulder, telling me it's bedtime. I wish you could see the look on his face as it's absolutely precious and hilarious at the same time.
