Going Nuts...

Thanks to the mini snowstorm that hit the DC area this weekend and the fact that I got sick... no training whatsoever happened. I had planned to get on the trainer for an hour on Saturday, an hour and half on Sunday, and do a 14 mile run Sunday as well... but the two above reasons changed it all up. I realized how far behind I am in my training for both Ironman Lake Placid (under 6 months away) and for the Athens Ohio Marathon (under 11 weeks away)... almost wanting to give in on both. But I then realize that Athens is a training run for Lake Placid and Lake Placid is well... an Ironman... and just for the fun of it (and the pain too)... so I might as well just go with the flow... see how each race goes... and just have fun with it.

Today... well this morning... in like 30 mins... registration for the first annual Washington DC Triathlon opens up... and yours truely has to decide if she wants to particpate. I would only do the sprint due to my ever so crazy race schedule. But I mean... it's DC... our Nations Capital... and I want to be part of it... ugh... decisions... decisions... decisions. If I don't participate I'd go down and watch... but doing it would be oh so fun. I'll keep ya'll posted on what I decide to do.

I'm also going nuts because I'm waiting in anticipation to find out about the whole Pacers Running Stores Ambassador Program. I think I've kept it on the down low just cause I don't want to get my hopes up. Basically this is a chance to represent the running store I love to run with on Tuesday and Thursday nites... at running events... whether store related or other running events in the area. Ever since I saw the thing posted about it on their website... I jumped right in and applied. The only thing is now that it's Feburary 1st... I don't if they've already picked the Ambassadors and I'm just dying to find out.

More to come...

Pick you, pick you...I hope they pick you. The weather and the ick, well, no better time to be icky than when it's gnarly outside.

Hope you feel better soon. I like how you have just chosen to go with the flow. Training while you are sick isn't always a smart idea.
Looking forward to hearing about the Pacers - you would be a great ambassador!
