More Recovery Please...
I'm not sure if it's from the Dextro Energy Tri or my 10.56 mile run this past Sunday... but I'm in for another week of recovery this week. My body and legs are just not feeling it. Yesterday's almost 6 mile run with Pacers was painful. The first half of the Sligo Out and Back to Dennis Ave was great... kept a steady just under 9 minute pace... but things quickly changed once we turned around to head back to the store. All the sudden my left leg locked up and I couldn't run on it one bit. Just picture limp running... that was me! For a whole mile I was struggling to run like a normal person and at one point was almost walking. Once I made it across one of the major intersections and back to the part where we turn off Sligo Creek Trail I was fine but running at more sluggish pace... close to 9:30 minute mile pace. I finished the run though in just a shade under 50 minutes... which I consider good after what happened after the turnaround.
Anyways I think I'm in for another week of a recovery. This week will consist of two as compared to three swim... two as compared to three bikes... but my running will stay at four times like normal. Next week though I hope to pick up the training. Afterall Philly Marathon is only 5 months away and my next tri is about a month and half away.
More to come...
