Two Things
First... I did my first official trail run yesterday with Pacers in Rock Creek Park... and have lived to tell the tale. Lets just say it was interesting. Being a huge klutz I was watching everywhere I ran. I managed to not trip or fall or faceplant. I kinda enjoyed it and am looking forward to running it again. Only I hope to avoid the mud. My shoes are getting a bath today thanks to yesterday!
Second... I just started teaching swim lessons at the local pool. I am having such a blast doing it. The first class I teach is Aquatots... it's for 18 months to 3 year olds... getting them used to the feel of the water. Lots of games... lots of songs... lots of blowing bubbles... lots of fun. Today we reviewed blowing bubbles... floating and kicking on the stomach... and learned how float on the back while kicking. The second class I'm teaching is Pre Beginner 1... 4 to 6 year olds... learing the fundamentals of swimming. I enjoy this one a bit more than Aquatots. Unlike Aquatots... this one ain't parent assisted... just me and the kiddos. Today we reviewed blowing bubbles... kicking and floating on the front and back... and started to learn how to do the arm stroke or as a call it big arm circles. Such a blast... such a blast.
More to come...
