Sorry Dallas White Rock 26.2

For a while now I've been debating on which 26.2 to endure at the close of 2009. Well sorry to say... the choice wasn't not the Dallas White Rock Marathon. I love the energy, the route, the crowds, and the spirit of that marathon, but in these times, especially with a trip to Lake Placid and another sign up for an Ironman in 2010, I wanted to stay local yet get away.

So my choice you ask...

Philly PA... here I come...

More to come...

Great choice! The course is nice and flat, perfect for a pr. And you're going to love the finish in front of the Philadelphia Art Museum.

Sweet, that's awesome. I had a blast last year on that course. Super-super-fast, and nice cool temps guaranteed.

One of my favorite cities, so glad to know you will be running there. Can you post the route for those of us who know phili but not the race?

Hmmm. My husband and I were thinking of starting to train for a half marathon. Maybe this one is a good one to shoot for....

I've heard amazing things about this race as well — good pick! The course is supposedly both flat and scenic, which is a lovely and rare combo. I tried to sign up for the half last year, but waited too long. I'll look forward to hearing what you think about it!
