Running... Nats Fest.. Meet Up

A productive day it certainly was... no complaints. This morning I headed out for a run... though it was only in the high teens outside. Like most Sundays I headed to the Crescent. For a cold morning... it was quite packed! Out 3.25 and back 3.25! It took a while to warm up but once I got going I did ok. My splits per mile were 8:23, 8:45, 8:35, 8:31, 9:02, and 9:20... all over place... both negative and positive spliting it. As I was almost back to where I had started there were two guys running by me... one saying "at least were not the only crazy runners out here this morning"! Found that quite funny and amusing!

Early in the afternoon I headed out with my parents to the 1st Annual NatsFest at the Washington Nationals ballpark. Yawn... what a bore! I have to say there wasn't much of anything great about it. I have never been to Nats Park so it was a treat to see it. My parents being partial season ticket holders were excited about showing me there seats for the season... upstairs... behind home plate... next to the press box. We couldn't even get up there. Here is pic that dad took of me freezing my butt off with the field behind me... such a dork!

After leaving NatsFest it was metro over to Metro Center to meet up with Sarah at Caribou Coffee. I love meeting other bloggers and I loved getting to meet her. Very sweet and perky girl I must say! For close to an hour and a half all we did was talk up tris and such. Great time... really great time!

More to come...

odd they would have a base-ball festivus in the middle of the winter. Timing fail. ;)
