I've Seen This Everywhere...

Guess it's now my turn to do it! Here we go...

What did you do in 2008 that you'd never done before? Learned to accept myself a little more than I ever have.

Did you keep your new years' resolutions, and will you make more for next year? Yes... esp the one about training hard but also training smart.

Did anyone close to you give birth? Nope.

Did anyone close to you die? Nope.

What countries did you spend time in this year? The US... all my time was spent in the states!

What would you like to have in 2009 that you lacked in 2008? A better idea of what I want to do with my life that involves working with little kiddos.

What dates from 2008 will remain etched upon your memory, and why? 06/22/08... finished my first Ironman in CDA... which was absolutely my favorite day of the whole year :)

What was your biggest achievement of the year? Finishing the Ironman... even when some told me it wouldn't happen.

What was your biggest failure? Not knowing what I wanted to do with my life.

Whose behaviour made you appalled and/or depressed? Do I really have to answer this???

Where did most of your money go? Race fees... training costs... triathlon related stuff!

What did you get really, really, really excited about? Ironman CDA and the White Rock Marathon

Compared to this time last year, are you:
a) happier or sadder? Happier :)

b) thinner or fatter? Fatter... probably

c) richer or poorer? A little richer :)

What do you wish you'd done more of? Hanging out with my friends down in Texas... cause now it would cost a fortune to go down and see them.

What do you wish you'd done less of? Writing on my blog... I know that's sad to say!

Did you fall in love in 2008? Not with any person... but a particular sport... any guesses to which one???

What was the best book you read? Stargirl by Jerry Spinelli... it's about a girl who doesn't change even if that means she won't be accepted by others.

What did you do on your birthday, and how old were you? Spent time with my grandma... she was in her final days of her life... I was 22 about to turn 23

What political issue stirred you the most? Too many to tell!

Who did you miss? My friends in Texas... if I started naming the list would never end!

Who was the best new person you met? Some of my triahtlon club peeps... again too many to name!

Tell us a valuable life lesson you learned in 2008. Reach for the stars... Shoot for the moon.. Go confidently in your dreams... Live the life you've always imagined!

More to come...

This is a very creative way to look back. good list. Like you, I spent more money on races, shoes, running stuff than anything else.

What?!?! You wish that you would have written less in your blog? No way. That can't happen. :-) You had a great '08, and I know that you will continue to do well this year too.
