Running...

Yesterday I found myself running... feeling good... feeling confident... feeling like I could go forever. I only did 6.5... but it was amazing. I went down to Bethesda and ran some of the Capital Crescent. There was a chill in the air... but the sun was out... and there was almost no wind... perfect.

Down the Crescent was the first half. Great mile splits as I made my way down... all sub 7:50 miles... so awesome. Going downhill felt like a breeze... I wasn't having to work it at all. Coming back was another story... all uphill. Though the pace slowed to 8:30 to 9 minute miles... I did not beat myself up and go crazy. The long climb back to Bethesda was tough and rough... but I wasn't going to give up so easily. I just did what I could do... and be happy with my abilities to be out there.

I'm ready for White Rock and confident in my abilities to be awesome and go forever... like I did yesterday. The nervousness about Boston gets to me... but whatever happens happens. I've done the work... I've given my training my best... I've done what I can at this point... nothing will help me now. So bring it on White Rock... give me your best shot.

More to come...
